TFIOS blog #2

Teenagers can relate to The Fault in our Stars by John Green because Hazel, the main character, feels like she is a "grenade".

She feels like a "grenade" as in being a person with cancer and is afraid to get too attached to someone because she knows one day she will blow up (die) and hurt that person she loved. People need to realize that relationships aren't always about what happens in the end, but the experience you had with that person in the time being. So for Hazel it shouldn't matter when she dies because there will always be those memories and love they had. Yes of course that person will be hurt from your lose, but would you rather die having those great memories stay forever with the person whom you had love for, or die regretting not making those memories with the person you loved because you were too afraid?

Some teenagers are going through a phase where they feel like they can't get too close with someone because a day will come where they mean nothing anymore. I disagree with that because if someone dies, you don't just forget about them. Those memories you had with that person will still be there. They will never mean nothing.

Teenagers might feel as if whatever they do will hurt someone in the end. I feel like teenagers should live their life to the fullest until their last day. They shouldn't be concerned about the ending result, but about how it will end.

In conclusion, teenagers should enjoy their time living and not worry about what happens when it's over. They need to learn how to live their lives until they can't anymore.
